Starter supports up to 3 provider accounts with no hard patient-record limit. Business scales to 15 providers and adds the patient portal and e-prescribing. Enterprise is unlimited across providers and locations.
Does OpenEMR include a patient portal for online access and messaging?
Yes, starting on the Business plan. The patient portal lets patients view records, request appointments, and send secure messages. We activate and configure it during setup.
Which plan exposes the HL7 FHIR API for external integrations?
The HL7 FHIR API is available on Enterprise. It enables interoperability with laboratory systems, billing platforms, and other clinical tools that speak FHIR R4.
Can we migrate patient records from an existing OpenEMR instance?
Yes. We migrate your database, uploaded documents, and custom form templates. Share your current OpenEMR version and approximate record count before sign-up so we can scope the migration accurately.
